9 July 2012- This is an attempt to record a unpleasant weather surprise. It was bright and sunny, with a clear blue sky when I left the office to go to the shops- a five minute walk at most. I felt a few light drops as I waited for the first walk sign, then a few heavier drops by the second. By the time I had made it to the shops (about 30 seconds from the crosswalk, and no more than 50 meters, it was pouring. Sudden sunstorm. Sometimes Queensland weather is not fun. Did I mention I had no umbrella?
